After the government’s land reform program, conditions worsened. Production was reduced and most of the farm workers became unemployed – some of whom travelled from countries as far away as Malawi, Zambia and Mozambique to find work. Now, many rely on small, labour jobs to support themselves and some are forced to travel to Harare in search of a better living.
Goats for Zero Hunger is working to give the vulnerable people of Goromonzi essential equipment, skills, knowledge and capital to start goat farming initiatives.
Unemployment and poverty of people in Goromonzi due to the government’s land reform.
The Goats for Zero Hunger project aims to support the Goromonzi people by providing them with work and food.
