Volunteers for Cause (V4C)

An initiative of World Merit with a mission to connect volunteers with opportunities to serve in their local communities.

Volunteers for Cause is an initiative of World Merit, bringing together a global network of passionate and active volunteers who utilise their time, skills, and expertise to drive positive change.

We support the work of councils, community-based organisations (CBOs), non-profits, and development-oriented organisations by mobilising individuals to contribute their knowledge and energy toward solving pressing social challenges.

How V4C Helps World Merit's Mission

Volunteers for Cause serves as the volunteering engine of World Merit. While World Merit provides the global platform and resources, Volunteer for Cause connects people directly to action locally and globally. Together, they mobilize youth-led change on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

V4C Chapters

We work within local communities by establishing local chapters (hubs)—organized groups of volunteers embedded in cities and communities worldwide. Each chapter is led by local leaders who coordinate Volunteers for Cause work in their communities. These hubs foster collaboration, drive grassroots impact, and strengthen sustainable community engagement.

Through World Merit Action University, we have developed the Global Impact Action Accelerator (GAIA) for Volunteers for Cause (V4C) development, a self-paced program that empowers individuals to:

Morocco

Pakistan

Papua New Guinea

Nigeria

Cameroon

Zambia

India

Kenya

Use this link to sign up for the self-paced program. Volunteers for Cause is not just a network of volunteers—it’s a movement that transforms passion into action, and action into lasting global impact.
