The Jamestown Community Project, an initiative by IYAN Africa, seeks to address the educational and social challenges faced by children and young people in Jamestown, Accra, Ghana. A needs-based assessment was conducted to improve the lives of the youth in this underserved community, leading to a collaboration with Wisdom Boxing Gym, Jamestown-Accra, which serves as a central convening point for most of the youth of Jamestown. Coach Ofori Asare, the founder of Wisdom Boxing Gym and head coach for the Black Bombers, plays an instrumental role among the youth within the community, aligning with the project’s mandate of changing, nurturing, and transforming African Youth to achieve their Goals.
